When you die — and all of us will — what would you like done? Where should your magical tools go? What would you like said at your funeral?

If you want any say in these important last issues, you must write them down and give them to a person legally empowered to administer your last wishes. Otherwise, your next of kin will have the legal right to bury you and dispose of your books and tools as *they* see fit, not you! We have seen this happen again and again, because the deceased had not written down their wishes.

As a service to its members, the SEF is offering to be a repository for these important documents. Fill out this form, adapted from a similar form from the Funeral Consumer Alliance, and send a copy to SEF, 35 Inman Street, Hopedale, MA 01747.

Write “funeral” on the lower left side of the envelope. We will not open the envelope, but will store it *sealed* in a file with your name on it. No one from the SEF will look at it, unless directed by you or your designated agent. (You may send us, if you wish, a separate communication telling us who your designated agent will be.)

This is particularly important if you want SEF members to perform your funeral, burial service, etc. We need to know. Please, tell us.
